OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The leader is the lever.  Strong principals will improve student learning and belonging in schools. It is possible for schools to work for every child. Principals will make this possibility a reality.

Be antiracist. We confront and work to dismantle the systems and power that led to and sustain racial inequities in our schools.

People matter. At the center of our work are people. We value every person, their stories, their diversity, their uniqueness. We always approach people with empathy.

See the system. When analyzing challenges, we look to the system that is producing the result.

Deliver results. The quality of our work matters; our commitments matter, all the time. We follow through on what we say and take outcomes seriously.

Find the data, use the data. We look to data, both quantitative and qualitative, to drive decision making and constantly ask what information we need that we don’t have. We read, listen, ask, and figure it out. We stay up to date in this work.

Raise the bar. We will prove what is possible in leader preparation and support and have a ripple effect on policies and systems across the country.
