Prior to joining PIVOT, Jacob worked for Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation as Program Manager of Birth to 5 Initiatives. His primary responsibility included working with all 95 county affiliates of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to expand boards, build sustainable funding models, and implement effective enrollment campaigns. He also managed the foundation’s Storybook Trail Grant, funding over 20 trails since April 2021 across Tennessee.

Jacob previously served as Operations Coordinator at KIPP Kirkpatrick Elementary School in Nashville and has four years’ experience as an elementary school teacher in Knoxville and Nashville. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in education, focused in kinesiology.
