Alexis Butler is a Nashville, Tennessee native passionate about education access and student success. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Alabama State University, holds a master’s degree from Austin Peay State University in Marketing Communications, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College in the Leadership and Learning in Organizations program.

Before joining PIVOT, Alexis served as the Associate Director of Admissions & Recruitment at Fisk University, where she led enrollment efforts, coordinated large-scale recruitment events, and championed initiatives that helped students transition successfully to college life.

Her work is driven by a belief that education is a powerful catalyst for generational change. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys crafting journals and traveling, especially taking cruises, and her favorite destination is Grand Turk.
